What is a currency converter?
A currency converter is a fast, convenient, and essential tool for instantly converting one currency into another — like US dollars to euros — using real-time market rates.
CFD traders can use it to calculate profits, losses, and margin when trading assets priced in a different currency than their account, like U.S. stocks with a EUR account or commodities priced in GBP.

What is a base currency?
The base currency is the first currency listed in a foreign exchange pair, while the second is called the quote currency. The exchange rate between them shows how much of the quote currency is needed to purchase one unit of the base currency.
In the EUR/USD pair, EUR is the base currency, meaning the exchange rate tells you how much 1 EUR is worth in USD.
